I look after the technical side of other people’s online businesses. Payment flows, integrations, websites - the tangle of tools a small business quietly runs on and nobody actually wants to own. I like owning it. It means someone else gets to stop thinking about it, which is usually what they wanted in the first place.
Alongside that, planning and scheduling work more broadly - the operational load that keeps something moving but that nobody wants to own full-time. Lately I’ve been putting AI to work on the same kinds of problems, with a fairly low tolerance for the parts of it that are just noise.
